Black Suede Classic vs Touch: which Avon scent should you choose?
Choose Black Suede Classic as the first scent to sample if you are looking for a leather-and-woods direction. Start with Touch if pepper and creamy vanilla sound closer to your taste. They are separate Philippine Avon fragrances, not two sizes of the same perfume. The documented bottles are both 100 mL, but Classic is labelled Eau de Cologne and Touch Eau de Toilette. Those labels alone cannot tell us which will last longer on you.
The Philippine bottles compared
| Criterion | Black Suede Classic | Black Suede Touch |
|---|---|---|
| Product code in the March 2026 brochure | 1554434 | 1554670 |
| Bottle size and label | 100 mL Eau de Cologne (EDC) | 100 mL Eau de Toilette (EDT) |
| Brand-described scent direction | Leather, fresh greens and warm woods | Black pepper, creamy vanilla and cashmere woods |
| March 2026 archive price, now expired | PHP 469 each | PHP 469 each |

Classic is the shorthand used for the original Black Suede in the brochure offer. Its product line itself says Black Suede Eau de Cologne. Touch has the extra word on the bottle and a different code. Match the complete name, code and 100 mL size when requesting a quote; a listing headed only "Black Suede perfume" is not enough to identify the version.
What the scent descriptions actually help you decide
Avon's Philippine July 2025 product pages describe Classic around leather, greens and woods, and Touch around pepper, vanilla and cashmere woods. The March 2026 fragrance guide repeats those directions. These are the brand's descriptions, not our personal smelling notes. They provide a useful starting point for sampling, rather than evidence that one fragrance is objectively better.
For example, if you are replacing a bottle whose leather character you enjoyed, begin by checking whether its label and code match Classic. If you are buying for someone who has specifically asked for a vanilla-and-spice style, Touch is the more relevant of these two descriptions to discuss with them. A broad request for something "masculine" does not resolve the choice: both are marketed within the same men's collection.
Does EDT make Touch stronger than Classic?
The sources checked do not provide a controlled Classic-versus-Touch wear comparison or the concentration percentages of these particular bottles. We therefore do not assign an hours-of-wear score, claim Touch projects further, or promise that either scent will suit hot weather better. EDC and EDT are useful identification details here, not a measured performance ranking.
When samples are available, keep the comparison simple: label two separate blotters, try one fragrance on each, and revisit them after the opening has settled. Record which you prefer rather than trying to infer quality from the darker bottle or the concentration name. If you later try a scent on skin, follow the product directions. This article is not a hands-on wear test.
Avoid the same-name format trap
The Philippine range also uses Black Suede and Touch names on body sprays and roll-on deodorants. Avon's July 2025 material lists 120 mL body sprays separately from the 100 mL fragrance bottles. A larger number of millilitres or a cheaper price does not make a different product format a like-for-like substitute. Before comparing two offers, check that both are for the same fragrance version and delivery format.
At the expired March price, PHP 469 divided by 100 mL equals PHP 4.69 per mL for either bottle. That worked example has no price winner. It does not establish today's Philippine price, availability or delivery cost. Ask for a current quote using 1554434 for Classic or 1554670 for Touch, then compare the total payable for the exact bottle you want.
